Khurelsukh receives visiting Turkish Prime Minister

Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh today received visiting Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim who arrived in Ulaanbaatar for a three-day official visit between April 6 and 8.

At the extensive meeting held at the State House today, PM Khurelsukh noted that Mongolia gives vital significance to the comprehensive relations in all fields with Turkey including a possible free trade agreement between two countries. 

Seven cooperation agreements and memorandum of understandings on agriculture, small and medium sized enterprises, education, emergency management, immigration, and transportation, were signed between Mongolia and Turkey during the meeting.

He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Hakan Cavusoglu, Culture and Tourism Minister Numan Kurtulmus and Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Ahmet Arslan.
On the first day of the visit, Yildirim will pay courtsey call on the President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga, Speaker of State Great Hural M.Enkhbold.

As of 2017, bilateral trade volume reached US$31 million. Both sides have agreed to further develop cooperation in urbanization, heavy industry, tourism, free trade zone, immigration, energy and build mutual confidence between private business owners and investors.
